The new moon always represents new beginnings and the start of a brand new cycle and with this one falling under the sign of Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, the energy of new beginnings is amplified. We also have a total solar eclipse happening on the same day, which also makes this energy even more potent and intense.
Eclipses always bring fated events and can be thought of as the time when the Universe is stepping in to give us a helping hand to nudge us in the right direction and level up in some areas of our lives.
The sun represents the Self and our personal expression. It’s about how we tap into our truths and the things that light us up and give us a sense of purpose. As the sun is eclipsed we will be drawn into the depths of our being to uncover some greater truths about who we are and what we need to do. This energy will bring what has been hidden into focus and may push us to face some of the shadows we have been carrying around our self-expression. Things like shame, guilt or the fear of being seen will be highlighted here in order for us to see a path through them to live in greater alignment with ourselves.
Themes that are prominent under this new moon and eclipse are around aligning work and purpose and bringing more of our authentic selves to the work we do. We might even be encouraged to journey onto a brand new path that allows us to do more of that. Typically around eclipses there are endings as new beginnings start to take form, and this is what we will see during this time. So our best approach here is to remain open to what comes, not resist change, and trust that what is leaving is making space for something more suited to our needs and path.
With this energy we are being guided towards the remembrance that it is in our surrender, rather than force, that things fall into place and more abundance can flow into our lives.
Of course this can feel a little conflicting, as Aries with its fiery energy gives us a sense of needing to take action and move forward with determination. So what we are trying to find here is how we cultivate that sense of balance between taking action and surrendering to the process. Often, our forcing is counterintuitive because the Universe is trying to take us in a different direction than the one we think we need.
The numerology of this date is 20, which I find to be a beautiful representation of where we are at. Of course, we usually look at the single digits which would be 2 in this case, but I see life as a spiral and as we get to 9 we complete a cycle and initiate the shift to the next rung on the spiral. So for me, 20 feels more fitting with this energy because it’s like we are entering chapter 2.0.
It’s a beautiful time to make space for new ideas, new perspectives, and new ways of being to be shown to us, and we may even see some new opportunities presenting themselves around this time too.
So allow yourself to sink into the shifting energy, let go of the past, and remain open to the possibilities of what lies ahead.
