Scorpio Full Moon 12.05.25

When I began reflecting on the energies of this full moon in Scorpio, the first message that came through was - take a step back; and it really does feel like some of us have been in murky waters for a little while trying to figure out the path ahead but not really being able to see clearly where we are headed.
This Scorpio full moon is here to bring clarity. It will be shining a light on exactly what needs to go, showing us clearly what is no longer serving us and offering us a moment of reflection to see a new way forward. It’s hard to see the wood for the trees when you’re so close to the ground, and the message I’m getting now is that you almost need this bird's eye view to gain a broader perspective on things and map out your trajectory. It’s interesting too because all week the messages coming through have been clear - open up to new horizons, new adventures and new possibilities.
Scorpio is the sign of transformation of course, the epitome of the death and rebirth cycle, so we can really tap into the strength of this sign to open up to change and burn the old to the ground. It’s no coincidence that this full moon is happening just a week after Pluto began its retrograde journey through Aquarius, initiating a 5 month long period of inner revolution. Pluto is the god of the underworld, the presence that calls us deep into the shadows to alchemise, transform and transcend; and this Scorpio full moon is the doorway that leads us onto that path.
When I look to the tarot the first card that comes out is the ‘Everything is fine’ variation of the ten of swords and next to it the page of wands. Beautifully representing the energy of this full moon, these cards are a powerful reminder of the fact that even painful endings can stir new life. The page here asks us to take a fresh perspective and begin a new adventure. Are you able to let go now and enter back into the unknown with that kind of youthful, explorative energy? The 6 of wands follows these two cards and it comes out in the reverse position. This tells me that in order to succeed now, in order to overcome the challenge or stagnancy you are experiencing, you must seek that new adventure, you must do things differently.
The 7 of cups and the Hierophant reveal that there are decisions to be made now. You stand on the threshold and it really is all up to you. Choose to follow the path you have been following and continue to feel restricted, or leap into the unknown and break from the rules and stories that have kept you small. The choice is yours.
We’re also being given the message to establish balance in our lives. Some of the decisions we have to make right now are about how we show up for ourselves. How much energy are you placing on taking care of your inner world, your joy, your inner peace? Your focus may have been placed too intensely on the external - the demands, schedules and expectations to meet, and now it is time to focus on what truly makes you happy.
The 8 of cups comes up here with the World card as another reminder of this need to walk away from something. A new journey is certainly beginning now and if you are able to bravely walk that path despite leaving behind things you may have poured a lot of energy into, you will undoubtedly open yourself up to new worlds.
The numerology of this full moon is 8, representing abundance and endless possibilities, and I think it’s beautiful to reflect on this number because it also reminds us of the cyclical nature of our existence. The fact that we are always moving and meeting ourselves over and over to learn and grow in new ways.
We also have the Warrior Goddess card to close off this reading and the message is so perfectly fitting - “This is not the time to play it safe…. You are ready. Life has been preparing you. Trust that your foundations are strong. Put your faith in the Universe…”
