On June 14th the full moon is illuminated in the constellation of Sagittarius. As the first full moon since the eclipse period, and bringing with it the Sag fire energy, this full moon sets in motion some powerful shifts and realisations.
The numerology of this full moon is 8, which interestingly, mirrors the last full moon in Scorpio at the time of the lunar eclipse. This connection draws us into reflecting back to the lessons and growth that we experienced between the eclipses, especially in matters of our life path and purpose.
Another synchronicity with the number 8 is the connection to Gemini, being the season that we are currently moving through. The eight has two sides, just like Gemini, and this is representative of light & dark, or feminine & masculine. There has been a lot of polarity recently about the roles of the masculine and feminine, and I believe this is being highlighted now in particular because we are being guided to find the balance as a collective.
Balance creates harmony, and only from a place of harmony are we able to optimize our manifestations and growth, both individually and as a whole.
The Sag energy of this moon is deeply connected to our mission here this lifetime, and the path we have recently been called further into. The 8 is an amplifier, so drawing on the energetic and passionate characteristics of Sagittarius, we have the opportinity to make some big moves. But the question we must ask ourselves is, what are we doing it for? Sagittarius can be lead astray by the ego at times, so the need to reflect on our 'why' is prominent under this moon.
Passion is a wonderful trait of Sagittarius, and great motivator, but only when it comes from a place of alignment within the heart can we find true, fulfilling success. Its also crucial that passion be combined with joy, for us to really get the most out of our experiences. Passion doesn't have to be serious and intense all the time. Creating space for joy will help to restore the balance after the recent intensities and shifts we have experienced.
There may be new journeys beginning here, if we are only brave enough to follow the call, beyond the external distractions.
The pull to connect with others is likely to also be heightened under this moon but again we are asked to check our ego. Are we trying to inspire and be inspired or simply assert dominance over other ideas and opinions?
The Sagittarius moon wants us to dream big and and strive for greatness, but in a way that serves the greater good, not just our own desires. It asks us to also trust through surrendering our personal desires in this respect, so that when things don't go exactly according to our plan we are able to use discernment and keep our peace, instead on falling into judgment.
A few days after the full moon, we will experience the summer solstice. A prominent point in the year which represents everything we have been working towards coming to fruition. Just as the flowers bloom, so to do the ideas and seeds we planted earlier in the year. This is a time to take things a little more lightly and celebrate the progress that you've made this year.
In many ways this moon is showing us where we need to get out of our own way in order to allow the natural blooming of things. Releasing control and trusting fully in the outcome is a definite theme at this time.
