This Gemini new moon brings with it some much needed fresh energy after the intensities of the eclipses. But although we might be feeling a little lighter in one respect as things slow down a bit, we are reminded of the duality that Gemini represents. The twins can be percieved as the merging of two selves, dark and light, physical and spiritual, inner and outer.
With this in mind, we will likely find our attention drawn to our more shadowy aspects. Airy Gemini leads us further into the mind, so pay attention to what thoughts come up during this time and try to move away from self sabotage.
The eclipses brought a lot of changes and shifts, and whilst these were all divinely guided to help us proceed along our destined path, we may not have felt ready or willing to lean into all of those changes. Therefore, this new moon is a time to process and absorb all that has taken place in our lives recently so that we can find a place of acceptance, and integrate all that we have learnt along the way.
Synchronistically the numerology of this new moon is number 5, representing change and shifts, as well as, to some degree, discord. Generally discord arises when we are resistant to change, so take the time to evaluate where you may have been resisting, and bring your focus back to surrendering a little more.
I find the 5 to also represent a kind of midway point on our journey, so this also connects with us being at a point of reflection, and looking back over any mistakes or mishaps that have happened during this eclipse cycle. With whatever comes up, try not to become too attached to the negatives and just remember that there is a greater reason for why things happen the way they do.
Aside from representing the dualistic nature of the Self, Gemini is also a reminder of the way in which others act as our mirrors. Often what we feel triggered by in others is a call for us to explore something internally, where we may be suppressing or neglecting parts of our Self.
At the same time we still have Mercury in retrograde, so it's important to take note of any triggering moments and bring greater awareness to what we are communicating, and how we are communicating with others. It's also beneficial to remind ourselves that, in true Gemini nature, there are two sides to every story.
This time of mental processing is an important part of the journey, as with all new moons we are gifted the chance to renew. Be sure to allow yourself time to absorb everything, especially any changes that have occured, so that you can get really clear on the intentions you want to set for this new cycle.
I recommend doing some mirror work around this new moon, repeating loving affirmations to your Self, to increase the energy of loving acceptance.
Journal prompts:
What parts of myself have I been neglecting?
How can I be more accepting of where I am currently at?
What positives have come of the changes that have occured during eclipse season?
