The theme of this full moon seems to be freedom and success after some hardships or doubts. The Capricorn new moon on 11/1 felt like this huge shift into a whole new cycle, and with that there was an energy of fresh ambition to set some big goals for the future. Now, with the Leo full moon, it feels like we are getting a taste of what all of that can look like for us in our external world. If the Cap new moon was about big goals, the Leo full moon is about big visions and bold moves.
My word for 2024 is authenticity, because I feel that the world is crying out for more of us to share our truths as this will play a part in how we rise together through the changes ahead and shift into the new earth frequency. With that being said, the energy of this full moon feels so aligned with this word. Firstly we have bright and beautiful Leo, who is all about creative self-expression and connecting with others through that. Leo, of course, represented by the lion, brings themes of bravery and the courage to be our truest selves. With a lion, what you see is what you get, and it could be that this full moon reveals to us where we are still wearing masks and how that is getting in the way of our success.
The date of this moon compliments this entire picture, as it offers the numerology of 7. 7 is the number of TRUTH. It is a powerful number of spiritual representation and speaks of higher wisdom and intellect. We are all channels for higher wisdom, but sometimes when we lack the belief in ourselves or don’t live in a way that is true to our hearts; we can fall out of alignment with that higher voice. Instead of being the voice of clarity, it becomes a faint whisper that we fail to understand.
Thinking about the number 7, brought to mind the 7th card of the tarot - the chariot. This certainly paints a picture of the energy under this moon as well. The chariot symbolises success after a period of struggle, and I get a sense that this is what will be unfolding for many of us.
The ace of wands came up as I connected with the energy of this full moon, and I find it so interesting in connection with all of this. It’s like we are being reminded that our ideas, our visions, are messages from that place of higher consciousness, and there is a reason we are receiving them. Don’t forget we are now under the influence of Aquarius too, who as we know is the water bearer, passing down knowledge from the higher realms.
So, under this full moon, we may get some clear insights about our path and things that need to be expressed. Be willing to put yourself out there in truth. Feel your fears and let them be a part of your motivation to bring your visions into form. Draw on that energy of the lion and be confident in reaching your goals. The message I am getting with this moon is ‘success favours the brave’, so move forward with a fire in your heart, because even if you aren’t seeing results just yet, all your efforts are cumulative. This is about trust.
